think that the Malay soldiers, were very brave to have faced the Japanese soldiers, despite having countless number of problems and difficulties. I too think that the Japanese leader, lieutnant-general, Tomoyuki Yamashita, was very smart and fast. He really planned every step he was going to make at that point of time. Thus, the steps he took were right, he managed to get to Singapore in days faster than expected. Whereas the Japanese soldiers, were cruel.
