how the indians was treated during japanese occupation

The Japanese wanted the Indians to join the Indian National Army (I.N.A.) To fight against the British in India. But because they were unwilling to kill their people, many of them refused and some were killed by the Japanese. The Indians were also not spared from the Death Railway.
